So what am i talking about? Many think it&#8217;s the lense that created distortion but put simply, it&#8217;s not. The lense has nothing to do with how the distortion in the subject matter occurs. Distance from camera to subject is the be all and end all. So when you want a realistic portrait image, shoot in the 1.5m-4m range. I favour around 2 metres to get the face to behave the way it does in real life. This image was captured with one speedlight behind to send the background to a very light grey and another in a small softbox up close camera right.&nbsp;</p>

A 360 degree panorama was the way to do it. The UAV DJI S1000 has the ability to shoot a 360 degree panorama image with a click of a button. It&#8217;ll take 37 high quality images which can be stitched together in post. The S1000 aerial vehicle is controlled by two people, a pilot and camera operator. Here&#8217;s the final result.</p>

(Art Director) Christian&nbsp;and I were on the same page from the outset. It made the day very fluid and easy. We ended up capturing a number of images and FCBs postproduction team built the final image. Very nice, good fun and a pleasure to work with such a professional team.</p>

The smaller sensored camera attached to the Phantom 3 has been working a treat, but you can&#8217;t beat a full frame sensor.</p>

We are all set to go on photographing North Shore Hospital but will have to wait until conditions improve. 25kts at 400 feet is too much for the unit I&#8217;m using. Over three days I captured ground/aerial images and movies for the corporation. The weather was perfect with 5 knot winds and crystal clear skys however frosts in the mornings were severe.</p>
