Commercial Pilot Background for UAV (drone) Operations

My background includes 1000s of hours flying commercially. This experience has allowed me to move into Aerial Photography and Videography with ease, due to a sound knowledge of aviation rules and regulations and commercial flying ability.

I now shoot with a large drone that carries a Canon 5D MKlll giving the best possible resolution for still images and unparalleled RAW video capture.

Finally good weather for the North Shore Hospital Shoot. I was asked to shoot from a similar angle to images captured from the 1980s. This photograph was taken from 300 feet.

Highbrook Aero Park

Highbrook Aero Park is a place for Aero-modellers to fly all types of aircraft - aerobatic, scale, racers, helicopters etc. It’s a fantastic location and gives plenty of space to explore your aerial abilities. This video explores the perimeter of the aero park.

One Tree Hill Panorama

Over the weekend I explored the idea of taking an aerial panorama and captured One Tree Hill. It was a very still morning, perfect conditions for this type of shot.
